Fuji

is named after the famous Japanese volcano. It comes from Japan where it is even now the most wide spread fruit. It represents a novelty for the recent distribution in Europe and for the characteristics of the apple.

is large and the peel is a violet-red colour. The flesh is compact, crispy and juicy. The flavour is excellent and not to betray it’s origin, it can be defined as “oriental” because it has a predominant sugary component with little acidity: exactly what our Japanese freinds desire. It si not particularly attractive but it is very, very good.

Perhaps due to it’s oriental characteristics, the Fuji is particularly appreciated by the young.

stored well in the refridgerator for 5 months and in the appropriate (ULO) cells for 9 months and even if it is stored in the cellar it maintains it’s characteristics well up until Christmas.
