a large fruit with a rusty, irregular and cracked peel. The
flesh is cream-white in colour with a green reflection. It is
fine, melting, very juicy and a slightly bitter taste, an
incomparable and moderately sweet and aromatic taste.

years the Winsap is subject to cracks and splits in the peel near
harvest time. It can be conserved
well in the fridge for about 4 months and in ULO
cells for 8 months. They can last up until Christmas if kept in the
cellar.
